Welcome to the new-ish colinhalyk.com webspace... and please excuse the fact it is
still largely just the material from the prior site for my band, Another 1000 Miles,
available here so far. New music of mine will be posted here soon.
Im happy to announce the release of a new CD,"Childish Things", which was
completed and put out in 2009, and which is available on this site.
The hour or so of material fuses what I've always done with new colours and flavours
brought into the mix by loop-based drums and orchestrations. Although I built the
tracks up on my own (as opposed to playing with a band), the project has also been
a chance to have many old friends as guests here and there throughout. Appearances
include Richard Williams, Paul Fairlie, Kevin Unruh, Deborah Tihanyi, Mark Kuntsi,
Bruce Russell, and Steve Mitchell. (The latter 3, members of the legendary Ernie's
Coffee Shop back in the day, I managed to re-unite, albeit long distance, on one of
the tunes, which was great fun).

In the wake of the loss of Malcolm, Mark and I have now more or less retired our a1000m
jerseys to the rafters, but we are both very much involved in new projects now.
